Kristina Holey is a holistic skin specialist who is dedicated to furthering the understanding of the skin and its relationship to the rest of the body. With a sincere curiosity about the biology of skin function, her approach is notable for its dedication to exploration and inquiry in service of results. She is known for getting to the root of her clients’ symptoms and helping them find a path to healing that factors in both their individual makeup and the integral health of the entire body.
A scientist by trade, Kristina applies an experimental approach to both skin treatment and product development. She received her bachelor's degree in engineering and later pivoted to cosmetic chemistry, studying at the ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International des Parfums, Cosmétiques et Arômes Alimentaires), one of the world’s most prestigious fragrance and cosmetics schools. Following her education in formulation, Kristina was an apprentice to renowned Parisian skin expert Joelle Ciocco, and then later established her own treatment practice in New York, which led to developing relationships with acupuncturists and doctors along with various consulting projects with skincare brands.
In 2015 Kristina partnered with the esteemed skincare brand Marie Veronique, based in Berkeley, CA. They launched their first collaboration in 2018, a line of award-winning biomimetic topicals designed to help nature achieve optimum health by supplying the building blocks required for proper maintenance at all levels of the skin. The line has been recognized in Vogue, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Harper’s Bazaar, and many others.
Kristina joined Marie Veronique full time in 2021 with a desire to become part of a team that is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of the skin from a holistic perspective. In her role as Director of Skin Health, she is leading the development of an experiential component to complement the brand’s existing product offerings.
